Uber and Bolt payment reconciliation

Reconciling means explaining the difference between what the platform records and what reaches your cash box or bank. Before automating it you need a common period, the statements and a clear rule for commissions and adjustments.

Gather documents for the same period

Get each platform's report and the matching bank movements. Keep the originals so any adjustment can be checked later. One transfer can group several days and arrive after the period closes.

  • Trip and earnings report and the platform payout.
  • Commissions, incentives, refunds and adjustments listed separately.
  • Cash collected, transfers and bank receipts.

Match each payout to its payment

Compare the net payout with identified transfers and recorded cash. Do not add cash twice if it is already in the report. Review cut-off dates, amount differences and adjustments from earlier periods.

Give every discrepancy an explanation: pending payment, identified cost, adjustment or incident to review. Do not mark a difference as resolved just because the overall total looks right.
